Welcome to Artkiv ("we," "our," or "the app"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application available on iOS and Android platforms.

Artkiv is a collection management and archiving application that helps you organize your items, track sales, and manage expenses. Your privacy is important to us.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Artkiv operates entirely offline and does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on our servers or any external servers. Specifically, we do NOT collect:

All data you enter into Artkiv is stored locally on your device and never leaves your device through our application.

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)

Artkiv displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. While we do not collect your data, Google AdMob may collect certain information to serve ads.

3.1.1 What Google AdMob May Collect

When you use Artkiv, Google AdMob may automatically collect:

  • Device identifiers: Advertising ID (Android) or Identifier for Advertising (IDFA on iOS)
  • IP address: For approximate location-based ad serving
  • Ad interaction data: Information about which ads you view or interact with
  • Device information: Device model, operating system version, screen size
  • Usage data: App session duration and frequency

3.2 RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

If you purchase a Premium subscription, we use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service, to manage and verify your in-app purchases. RevenueCat collects and processes certain information to provide subscription management services.

3.2.1 What RevenueCat May Collect

When you purchase a Premium subscription, RevenueCat may collect:

  • Device identifiers: Anonymous app user ID, device model, and operating system version
  • Purchase information: Subscription status, purchase date, expiration date, and product identifiers
  • App Store receipts: Purchase verification data from Apple or Google (does not include payment details)
  • IP address: For fraud prevention and analytics

Important: RevenueCat does NOT collect or store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). All payment processing is handled directly by Apple or Google.

3.2.2 How RevenueCat Uses This Information

RevenueCat uses this information to:

  • Verify and validate in-app purchases
  • Manage subscription status and entitlements
  • Track subscription lifecycle events (purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds)
  • Provide cross-platform subscription management
  • Prevent fraud and unauthorized access
  • Provide analytics to help us improve the app

On iOS devices, if you have consented to personalized ads, you may be asked for tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. This permission allows Google AdMob to access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads.

6. Data Storage and Security

All collection data, transactions, expenses, and app settings you create in Artkiv are stored locally on your device using SQLite database and local file storage. This data:

  • Remains on your device at all times
  • Is not transmitted to any external servers
  • Is protected by your device's security features (passcode, biometric authentication, encryption)
  • Can be deleted by uninstalling the app or clearing app data

Important: We recommend regularly backing up your device to prevent data loss, as we do not have access to your data to restore it.

7. Children's Privacy

Artkiv is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used our app, please contact us.

  • Google AdMob: May transfer advertising data to servers in the United States and other countries. Google complies with applicable data protection frameworks for such transfers
  • RevenueCat: Stores subscription data on servers in the United States. RevenueCat is compliant with GDPR and uses standard contractual clauses for international data transfers

Both providers comply with applicable data protection frameworks and regulations for international data transfers.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Significant changes will be communicated through the app or on our website
  • Your continued use of Artkiv after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy
