Is Artkiv really free?

Yes! Artkiv is free to download and use with all the essential features. The free version is perfect for getting started with your collection management. We offer a Premium subscription that unlocks unlimited items, removes ads, and gives you unlimited backups—but you can use the core app forever without paying a dime!

Does Artkiv require an internet connection?

No! Artkiv is designed to work completely offline. Perfect for craft fairs, markets, or anywhere without reliable internet. All your data stays on your device. You only need internet if you choose to view ads (free version) or manage your Premium subscription.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely! Your data never leaves your device. We don't have servers that store your items, transactions, or any personal information. You can also protect access to Artkiv with biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint) or a passcode.

Which devices are supported?

Artkiv is available for both iOS and Android (Coming Soon) devices. It's optimized for phones but also works great on tablets.

Data & Backup

How do I backup my data?

Since Artkiv stores data locally, your data is included in your device's standard backup:

  • iOS: Enable iCloud Backup in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup
  • Android: Use Google Backup in Settings > System > Backup

We strongly recommend keeping regular backups to prevent data loss.

Can I transfer data to a new device?

Yes! When you restore your new device from a backup, your Artkiv data will be transferred automatically. For iOS, use iCloud or iTunes backup. For Android, use Google Backup or transfer tools provided by your device manufacturer.

What happens if I uninstall the app?

Important: Uninstalling Artkiv will delete all data stored by the app on your device. Make sure you have a device backup before uninstalling if you want to preserve your data.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can manage your subscription through your device settings:

  • iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Artkiv
  • Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Artkiv

Canceling will stop future charges, but you'll keep Premium access until the end of your billing period.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are processed by Apple or Google, not directly by us. To request a refund:

Troubleshooting

The app is running slowly. What can I do?

Try these steps to improve performance:

  • Close other apps running in the background
  • Restart the app
  • Restart your device
  • Make sure you have the latest version of Artkiv installed
  • Ensure your device has sufficient storage space
Images are not loading properly. How can I fix this?

If images aren't displaying correctly:

  • Check that you've granted Artkiv permission to access your photos
  • Restart the app
  • Make sure your device has enough storage space
  • Try reimporting the affected images
I forgot my passcode. How do I recover access?

If you've set up biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint), try using that to access the app. Unfortunately, if you've forgotten your passcode and cannot use biometrics, the only option may be to reinstall the app, which will delete your data. This is why we recommend keeping regular device backups.
